911 Emergency Services Advisory Board

The 911 Emergency Services Advisory Board (Board) and the combined City/County Emergency Services Department (Department) were established by the City of Henderson and Vance County on 4 August 1986 via an inter-local agreement.  The Department is operated by Vance County.  The purpose of the Board is to act as an advocate for 911 with the City Council and County Commission as well as to provide guidance and advice to the Emergency Services Department.  The Department’s website is located at:  Henderson / Vance County E-911

Meeting Schedule and Location:  The Board meets as needed.

Membership and Terms of Office:  The 911 Emergency Services Advisory Board is comprised of 13 members.  Of these members, six are voting and the rest are non-voting ex officio members.  The voting members include the four elected officials and the two at-large citizens representing the City and County. The City has six (6) of appointments as follows:  1 citizen elected at-large; 2 elected officials and 3 ex officio positions.
